What we're looking for

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer who is passionate about pushing important features that get used by users immediately. You'll be joining a high-impact, mission-driven team that solves complicated problems through software. As our third engineer, you will be involved in every step of the product development process, translating designs, wireframes, and business requirements into high-quality features, micro-apps, internal tools, and services for real customers.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with the product squad to develop and deliver high-quality software.
• Translate designs and business requirements into features and tools that enhance user experience.
• Build and maintain scalable and efficient micro-apps, internal tools, and services.
• Ensure all features are built “product-first,” considering both user experience and business implications.
• Contribute to the improvement of code quality, testing practices, and overall development processes.

Who you are

• At least 3+ years of experience building high-quality software in fast-paced and dynamic environments, ideally at early-stage startups or top tech companies.
• Proficiency in Typescript, React, and GraphQL. Ideally some knowledge of Ruby and/or Rails.
• Proven track record of engineering slick products that users love.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with the product team.
• Ability to balance the need for speed with the necessity of producing maintainable and high-quality code.
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Growth mindset with a desire to rapidly develop skills and take on increasing responsibilities.
